Christmas Music Radio is a free, non-stop lofi radio of music by Purrple Cat, an independent project making lofi since 2018 with 500+ songs. Everything on air is free under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.

Never on music streaming services

Please don’t upload the music to Spotify, Apple Music or any other music streaming service. That includes remixes, samples and covers of it.

Where to use it

Put it behind your Christmas videos, vlogs, gameplay and livestreams, play it in your café or at a party, or use it in a game, app or podcast. Credit Purrple Cat and you’re done. For video descriptions, paste the credit line above. Livestreams can show it on screen or in the chat.

What the radio plays

The radio airs 112 lofi tracks from 23 Purrple Cat records, about 5 h 20 min in all. Purrple Cat’s two Christmas albums, Snowbound and Ice Palace, are the heart of it (22 tracks). The rest is cozy winter-night lofi from other records, chosen to fit the stations. There are no vocals and no traditional carols, and it isn’t a live broadcast: it’s a never-ending shuffle in your browser, so everyone hears a different order.

How the radio works

Press play
One button starts the radio. It picks a song, plays it, then another, forever. No ads, no sign-up.

Turn the dial
Drag the needle, use the arrow keys or press a preset. Each station has its own mood, with a little static between them.

Set a sleep timer
Choose 15 minutes to 1.5 hours, or “after this song”. The volume fades out gently over the last 20 seconds.

Keep it playing
Browse the stations, library and FAQ and the music carries on. Space plays and pauses, N skips, [ and ] tune.
